NBA security

Recently cities/counties that wanted to stop motorcycle rallies did so claiming they could not afford the extra police protection (i.e. Hollister and 4 corners). Other than the 1 incident in Laughlin, how many of you have ever even seen a fist fight at a rally? Last weekend the NBA brought their all star game & party to town. The mayor and the media gushed at the fact Vegas has been selected for this circus. Then they acknowledged that all available police were put on overtime. Specialty gang units were brought in from Los Angeles to help with potential crowd problems. My question, who paid for all this extra security? The NBA?
